Financial Literacy for Youth (F.L.Y.) Program

This is a 7-week long course that:

  1. Outlines essential knowledge and skills to make informed, real world financial decisions

  2. Help students learn how their choices influence career options and future earning potential

  3. Help students learn decision-making skills for evaluating career choices and setting financial goals

  4. Help the learner make wise spending, saving, and credit decisions

  5. Help the learner make effective use of income to achieve personal financial success

Program Materials

Student Assessment

The student assessment helps gauge the student's knowledge of financial literacy concepts and tools. The before and after assessment are compared to measure the student's growth.

Training Test

The training assessment is for potential instructors to gauge their knowledge of financial literacy concepts and tools. A score of 85% or higher is required before teaching to ensure the students are being taught quality content.

Student Workbook

The student workbook contains activities and lessons for students to complete at home that reinforce the lessons taught by the instructor. These help the students put to practice the skills learned during program lessons and provide repetition that reiterates learning concepts.

Teacher's Guide

The teacher's guide contains lesson plans and student activity instructions for the instructor. The information contained in these guides coincide with the content presentations used for lessons.

Content Presentations

The content presentations are presentations prepared with the necessary information for the lesson plans. This information matches and is reinforced by the teacher's guide 

Certificate of Completion

Upon completion of the 7-week course, each student will receive a certificate as proof of completion.
